Hurray for Pink

Our daughters are the most precious of our treasures, the dearest possessions of our homes and the objects of our most watchful love. ~Margaret E. Sangster

A good friend of mine allowed me to spend some time photographing her daughter. She was a great sport! The lighting was really tough (it was a gloomy, rainy day!) and I don't possess enough photography talent (or equipment) to get great photos in low light. It would also help if I took the time to figure out photoshop. Until then, we'll have to enjoy these photos. Isn't she a darling?!

See now this is a blog that I could sit at all day long as a very proud aunt. I love that darling smile so much.

Great job, Heidi! I think you got some great pictures. My pics would have had my fingers in the frame too. :) (I did get a new digicam to learn on though.)

I'm gonna sit here all day and I mean it.

Country Girl~ That settles it. You'll just have to visit Oregon. I think she purchased it at our shop, Poet's Garden. :)

Trish~ Fun, huh? You're welcome to gaze at the pictures all day long. :) I wish I had gotten some great pictures of her awesome smile, but she was always moving when she was smiling... which meant blurry photos. This spring/summer we'll get some better ones.

I just love that little girl!! Although I have to say you have a beautiful family and thank you for sharing with us!

Wow, your "Routine" took me back a few years!! I remember being at that stage and wondering what was I doing?? Stay the course, and encourage, encourage, encourage! It is ok to show them how you want it done, because what they learn now is what they will grow up to do! I am finding this out the hard way! :-~

One of these days I'm coming to stay with Debi for a whole week, and I'd love to visit your home.

Do you remember getting your driver's license? My oldest has hers and is now driving by herself! Yes, that means I'm getting OLD!!! Enjoy each day, it passes soooo quickly.

Hey, Jenz! Yes, some days I get to the end and think... what just happened here? Grin. Some moms feel like their days slug by, I can't believe how fast they go by!! And I *know* that things will get easier (especially if I lay the correct groundwork now), and that I will be so sad to see their childhoods fly by!

Yes, YES! Please do come over when you are in town. I'd love to see you!

Thanks, Debi. We had fun, too. Now that I've figured out how to do a little photo editing, I'll improve upon these and get the copies to Lindsay. Oh, and the scones were *delicious.* :)
