Wrapping up Egypt

After four months of weaving in and out of Ancient Egypt, we're heading out for good! We had to finish up a few from our huge stack of books and then put them back on the book shelf where they will most likely wait until we return to ancient history in four years.

Ancient Greece, here we come!

When I was teaching high school students here in Australia (pre motherhood) I loved teaching about Ancient Egypt. There are so many hands on activities that can be done and the students are always fascinated by the Ancient Egyptians.

I look forward to hearing about what you get up to when learning all about Ancient Greece.

Warmest wishes
Elise.

I was thinking about you yesterday as I was visiting my Mother in Albany. I wish I would have had time to drop by the shop....another time for sure.
I just took some time catching up on your blog. Your photos are amazing! I love the turquoise frame with the dish......did you put a decal on the dish?
And I am putting together my list of Summer school topics....My son my love the Egypt one.

We love studying the ancients! Do you use "Wicked History of the World" or the "Horrible History" books? LOTS of fun there!

We're studying ancient China at the moment, simply because we realized that most studies gloss over them. Next up: India.

Kim~ I used a foam stamp and black craft paint on the white platter on the wall. :) Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Noodle~ We haven't read those. I'll have to check them out! We did a bit of China a few weeks ago and we'll revisit again in a couple weeks. We did only a week or so of India. Not sure if that is coming up again...
