I had it all planned to share pictures of Levi with you today, but my plans were derailed. I had a photoshoot with Levi's friend, McKinnon. The pictures of his sister, Monet, (here and here) turned out so much better than I expected, which put the pressure on me to get some great ones of McKinnon as well. You can be the judge, but I was so excited to share them (and I know his mom would love to see them as soon as possible).
McKinnon was one of the best little models I've ever had (in my long, aspiring career, ha!) and almost every picture (I took so many!) turned out. It was so hard to choose, and I'm terrible at picking favorites. I finally whittled the selection down to these:
Wonderful pictures! Heidi, would you consider creating a book list of your favorite children's Christmas books? I am planning our home school lessons for December. I have a general direction of where we are going, but I always find books I would have never found otherwise on your blog! Thanks to you, we have read the Gilgamesh trio. I made a note a while back from your blog, and when my oldest son started wanting to know more about the Epic of Gilgamesh from history, voile! If you don't have time, I will completely understand!
ReplyDeleteWow Heids, those shots are Fantastic! Really great job! Love the way you found great places to take the shots and were able to edit the surroundings with close-ups and angles. truly impressive. {Nice to have such great subjects!}
ReplyDeleteThe Good~ Aha! You read my mind. I've been getting together all my Christmas books and adding to my stash. :) I'll be posting about it shortly, but until then, if you click on the Mt. Hope Literary Buffet Amazon store link on my side bar, I've added a Christmas catagory. Be sure to check out the subcatagories, too. Hopefully that helps. Also, you can click on the Christmas tag/theme on the sidebar to review my Christmas posts from last year. I mentioned quite a few books during last season.
ReplyDeleteShan~ LOL about the 'editing the surroundings' comment. :) I sure found the perfect location for the industrial look. We had a lot of fun!
Beautiful, wonderful!! I love the colors and the backdrops, and the angles and his beautiful smiles. It looks like it was a tremendously fun photoshoot :-)
ReplyDeletebtw, I especially love the blue rusty garbage can (?) background!
Great picture!

skeller~ I was ecstatic to find that metal barrel!! It was completely unexpected and the color and texture is awesome. I may be sneaking over to my parents' house in the middle of the night to steal it.... I'm sure my mom won't mind.
ReplyDeleteThose are great! He`s just as gorgeous as his sister, too. :)
ReplyDeleteMan, I wish I lived near you. I`d be sending my boys over to your house to see if you could turn their tantrum faces into some lovely photos like the ones you get of your kids.
