Those pictures are why I would love to have a SLR! It is so hard to capture the moment with a prosumer camera. I can capture it but then they do not have the beautiful sharpness that these images represent. Sigh....
...I don't know much about using a camera and all that fancy lingo you artists use...but I did snap a couple pictures of my two year old son eating his breakfast this morning - a waffle on a kids plate...on his tiny little lap....on the POTTY SEAT! ...day #2 of potty-training! Wish me luck! ~Tera
Sweet, sweet boy. I obviously only know your boys through your beautiful pictures, but is it me or does he look more and more like your middle son? The expressions are priceless!
Tera~ Yeah, I've been putting off the potty training thing... LOL about eating waffles while on the potty. Oh, the sights I've seen that I had *no idea* I was getting myself into when we decided to have kids. :) Best of luck on the whole potty training adventure. (You're an old pro, though, I'm sure it will go smoothly. :))
The Good~ Yes, quite a few people (that know him in real life) have mentioned the same thing. I still think he is an interesting mix between Levi and Luke (who don't look as much alike).
So is this in sequential order? He has some priceless expressions... glad you have been able to capture them for time and history.
So Heidi... is life a visual journey for you? Meaning... do you see things and think, WOW! That is a beautiful picture. Though there may not be a camera, or its a simple glance or a stumbled upon perspective... even while in conversation or chore, it can enlighten you without the slightest notice... I often feel as though its a disease, or undiscovered disorder of some sort. But all the while I happily savor it! It seems each time I witness your perspective you have captured many like moments that I have managed to miss with my children or nature. Thank you for sharing your vision... and pushing my own further.
Every picture you take of your boys makes me want to know hem and love on them...they are some of the prettiest boys I have ever seen. Lief is precious.
Aja~ They aren't in chronological order (most of the sad ones were at the end :)), but they were all taken within about 10 minutes.
Yes, life is very visual for me. I get frustrated when I see something beautiful or interesting and I don't have my camera with me, but I'm actually trying to work on that. There was a gorgeous sunset and I had to deliberately enjoy it as a passing moment without being able to capture it permanently. The more I take pictures, the more I am able to see life as one unending series of special little moments (even in rough times or on bad days).
