Speaking of Knights

One of Levi's favorite activities at Disneyland was the Jedi Knight Training Academy. Luckily he was one of the children chosen from the audience. He so badly wanted to participate!

After a short 'training session' the children fought either Darth Vader....
...or Darth Maul.
Luckily, Levi fought Darth Vader. That Maul guy was really scary looking.

The Jedi Knight had us in stitches the whole time. His commentary was hilarious!!

  1. Wow! This is an amazing set up! Your boys must be experiencing serious withdrawal.

  2. What an amazing experience and memory!! And to think, there are those people, even mothers, out there that don't even crack out a camera these days!! I will never understand!!

Thanks for the peekies of your trip!! I am enjoying everyone of them... they make me want to scrapbook our Disneyland pictures. Too bad we couldn't plan a MAD scrap together!! Grrr... and we always thought about moving to Oregon before Kansas came along. Well maybe one day....

  5. Jedi training was one of our favorites too! Both my sons were chosen, but when Darth Vader came out of the floor and to the edge of the stage, my Carter (5) came running back to me to take off his cloak and give back the saber :)

Those are great pics Heidi! Are you guys back to a school routine yet?!? ~Tera

  6. Hey Heidi,

Jacob (4) and I have been in Florida. Jacob was chosen at Hollywood Studios and was so excited to have the saber and the training. When Darth Vader came out, I could see he was petrified. It was "reality" for him. He had the grip of death on that saber and looked like he was going to do battle for his life, then burst into tears and wanted his Mom.

Gosh yesterday, I got a sunburn in 85 degree weather and 76 degree water on Sanibel Island, and today we're back to grey, drizzly cold Oregon....sigh....

  7. It looks like you all had such a fabulous time. My sons are two games away from making it to the "Superbowl" which will be held at Disney. Not what we were planning on doing our first week of December, but if they do go all the way, I sure am coming back to all your posts to get me excited. :)

  8. Carole~ Luke keeps asking to go back. :) I think we'll wait a few years when all of the boys will be big enough to go on any of the rides. Hopefully Levi will decide he's brave enough for rollercoasters by then, LOL.

Aja~ Yeah, I'm addicted to the camera. Occasionally I think it would be nice to not be constantly experiencing things through the lens, though. Yes, a scrapping party would be a blast!! It has been so long since I've gotten all of my stuff out. Blogging is so much easier to clean up, LOL.

Lora, Sandy Toes, and Jen~ Thanks for stopping by and saying hello!!

Tera~ I couldn't believe that more of the kids weren't chickening out!! Darth Maul walked right up to a little guy (on the other side of a fence) and the boy just stood his ground. *I* would have backed up. :) Yes, we're doing some lessons this week, but I sure wouldn't call it a routine. ;-P I'll return your FB message shortly.

Christina~ Holly mentioned that you were at DisneyWorld. I had no idea you were headed that way. We missed you at Drake's party. I hope you had a blast! We had weather in the 80s and blue sky. It was a little hot in the afternoons, but I feel bad for complaining now because it has been *hard* to adjust to cold, pouring rain, and darkness so suddenly!!!! I can't wait to hear about your trip. Sorry to hear that Jacob didn't enjoy the Jedi training quite as much as Levi...I sure don't blame him!
