Love love love it! I used your previous blog about planting grass and it's cute too. But it looks different than yours. I used rye grass. Is that what you used? You're looks sturdier than mine.

dancebythelight~ I used wheat grass. I had leftover wheat berries that I purchased last year in the bulk section in the natural foods section of a local grocery store. They sprouted right away! I love the the look of wheat grass, but other grasses are fresh and green, too.
The new look is great. I don't know why but the wider format makes it difficult to read.. for me it causes me to scroll. Is there a setting I need to change?

I have a friend whose computer was having trouble with my own wider blog as well. We had her check her screen resolution under control panel and then display and then settings. I think it's best set no smaller than 1280x1024.

Your "mantel" health looks great. Heidi, I have not forgotten about Mt. Hope, and the invite we have for you to come visit here. Honestly, my mind is crazy busy on a soon to be launched project. Also the pumpkin we saved to make something pumpkinish and dessertish for you all, sadly, melted outside on my porch.
Oh, I did buy some black candle, like they used to sell at Poet's. A friend owns Luxe, here in Eugene, and actually, my husband bought them for me for Valentines...

Also, I have a larger round metal orbit-thingymagiger (an astronomy sort of tool?) like you have in one of your displays. Mine is on a sofa table display with some springy gardeny things too. But, I never know what to call it...do you know the official name?

Tera~ I'd say maybe a week for short grass. And it's called an armillary. (Real armillaries are much more elaborate and detailed, though.)

Okay, so this morning I planted wheat berries I had in the pantry into some little pots - can't wait to see green!!! Thanks for the inspiration.
Also, I was wondering if you are using your white pedestal bowl somewhere...what's in it now? I've been blowing out naturally colored eggs (browns and greens), but I envy that bowl you have :)
I have been thoroughly touched by reading everyone's ideas for family connections. One of the gals -Crystal? has her family say encouraging words to each member daily; that choked me up. Gonna add that one to our routine!

I planted wheat grass years ago in a big basket for an Easter centerpiece. My girls are big now, but I could do it just for me. Your Spring decorations are very well done. Thanks for sharing.
