“There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things."
"I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen.
"When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day.
Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
~Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

I don't know about impossible,
but it is certainly hard for me to believe that my sister and I are finishing up WEEK EIGHT of walking early in the mornings!!
And not once have we stood each other up, cancelled just because we didn't feel like it, or chickened out because of the weather.
This morning was another STUNNING morning.
Full (impossibly huge) moon, slight fog, stars, gorgeous sunrise, and everywhere white with frost.
(Wish I had my camera along, but you are spared another 179 sunrise photos.)
It was a chilling 25 degrees this morning. I had some serious truck-defrosting to do.
Now, if only I could go that long without Dr. Pepper. THAT would be impossible.
Maybe I'll try to believe that one....next month. Grin.

Speaking of next month, I am taking a posting break for Living. Lovely.
Our challenge for this month is to
Savor the Christmas Season.
We'll start new challenges when our new year rolls around.
Can you believe we are less than a month away from 2010?!
Good grief another video that made me cry!
ReplyDeleteI am SO enjoying our huge moon (and actually being able to see it). I was still working outside last night when it rose and I stood and watched it for quite a while.
Well done for keeping up with your walks!

Wasn't it totally frigid this morning? I was out for a run and it was SOOO cold. Even by the end of the run, I was still cold. I'm going to need to start wearing two pairs of pants for mornings like that I think!
ReplyDeleteMolly~ Yep. That moon is GORGEOUS!!! I spent some time gazing at it this evening.
ReplyDeleteJen~ Brrrrr. :) I made that comment to Shannon... I'm usually really warm at the end, but I sure wasn't today! Good for you getting out on this gorgeous morning!
That video was... sensational. I actually cried- from a shampoo commercial. Thank you for reminding me of my blessings.
ReplyDeleteWonderful video - now THAT'S a commercial I don't mind watching!
ReplyDeleteI am on the night shift so we have odd hours. My girls and I have started walking without fail in the middle of the night from our place down the 1/2-mile drive to the road and back and four days a week we do it during the day. The girls have slimmed out and my blood pressure and blood sugar are both better by far! And the best part is seeing the night world, owls hooting, shooting stars, fog over the river next to us - our own little world. We now are hooked on our walks!
Oh, Heidi... that *is* an inspiration! Thank you~
ReplyDeleteSo proud of you for the walking!!! I can't publish this post on my blog b/c we haven't told everyone we are moving, but...we are starting a new life that I would have said was impossible. We have been given a very large family farm. We will be putting our house on the market in a matter of weeks and then moving to another state to begin. We will have a sustainable, organic farm along with animals. I have only ever lived in the city!! And the move is permanent b/c we are venturing with family. So here we go!!! The seemingly impossible has become possible. We will be fulfilling a life-long dream for my Dad and my husband. I am thrilled for them (a terrified)!
ReplyDeleteRenee~ Wow, wow, WOW! What an awesome 'impossible' dream to believe in. I'm so excited for your family!!!!!!
