The past two weeks have been a bit of chaos. Just keep swimming… and all that. Easter. Russ went back to work. We had our end of year program for Classical Conversations. Play dates, appointments, projects, STUFF. And in the in between moments we read, watched, thought, played, and learned.
I’m way behind posting my fine arts studies resources for the last few months. That’s on my to-do list for this next week. I also want to post an end of the year review for Classical Conversations. Other than that (and eating well), we’ll be buckling down for lessons.

Heidi,
Thanks for posting the details. Encouraging & helpful! Have a great week!
Heidi,
I am so glad you are posting these homeschool posts. We moved to a farm in March and I enrolled my kids in a private school for the duration of the yr. I believe I will come back to homeschool this fall or fall of 2012 when we get our feet back on the ground. The state of Alabama has a new CC director and went from offering CC classes in one location to MANY. I am thrilled. They are hoping to start a CC 15 minutes away next fall. That would be the biggest blessing. Thanks for the inspiration. How's the new diet??
The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles is such a hidden gem. Most people have no idea that "Maria from the Sound of Music" wrote a really great fantasy novel! My camp counselor read it aloud to us at night when I was a kiddo, and now both my husband and I have read it to our kids. So fun.
Heidi,
Can't tell you how much I enjoy your blog! I am actually a new CC Director here in Iowa. We're so excited for this upcoming school year!
I have 5 kiddos (ages 6 mos--11 years) Up till now we have used Saxon Math and it has worked well for us. Can you convince me why I should consider switching my oldest to Teaching Textbooks. (smile.) I am on the fence.
Gratefully,
Kate
