We’ve had a very full week. Classical Conversations practicum, VBS, early mornings, illness, book club, rough nights, and more. I was very drained by this afternoon. The house was trashed (and it was just cleaned yesterday!!). Lola was so ready for a nap.
Russ had been working from home, but he needed to run to work to pick something up. He suggested the family go for a drive. I had about a thousand things on the to-do list, but I chucked it and said, “Absolutely.” This next month is going to be an insane one (several big things popped up on the schedule just recently), and family time (for all of us together) is going to be non-existent. We needed to take advantage of an impromptu afternoon. Lola just had to catch her nap on the way down to Eugene.
I’m too tired to do much more than upload these (million) photos. No editing. Not much commentary. Just a lot of US. (And, I’ll have you notice, even pictures of ME.)
(Oh, I have a sentence diagramming challenge going up tomorrow. I KNOW you all can’t wait to participate, so get your thinking caps on and come back to visit!)
And now I guess I’ll start on that to-do list. Sleeping is overrated. Isn’t it?

Where is this, Heidi?
There is a long, long bike trail along the river in Eugene. If you park in the back lot where Gotschalks used to be, there is a bridge over the river to the path. There are play areas, gardens, area to play in/by the river, picnic spots, lots of grass... It was a steep learning curve for the boys, though. The bike traffic is heavy, and you have to stay to the right on the path! :)
I meant to say that if you park in the Valley River Mall parking lot...
Heidi, I love seeing you and your family :) Beautiful!! My kiddos have been asking about your family...they would love to play again!! Enjoy the 4th of July! ~Connie (in Tualatin)
