I was hoping you could answer a question on syllables, since you also used The Ordinary Parents Guide to Teaching Reading. My 5 1/2 year old daughter just completed the book and can sound out words with multiple syllables fairly well. Although, the book didn't give instructions on how to break up syllables. Is that, perhaps, taught in All About Spelling or First Language Lessons? I just want to make sure we don't miss anything! Thank you for your advice on RightStart Math and for sharing all your plans and resources for the coming up year. Sarah Little Rock, Arkansas

Hi, Sarah! Yes, All About Spelling has *a lot* of syllable instruction in it. I would most definitely recommend that next!
