ChocLit Guild met in the garden yesterday evening to eat warm-from-the-oven blackberry cobbler and to discuss Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold and The Weight of Glory by C.S. Lewis. As we talked about deep themes and beautiful ideas, this was our view. As darkness fell, we were surrounded by far-off flashes of lightning. Yes, God pulled out all the stops last night. After returning home, the storm drew near. The dark rooms flashed with bursts of light, and thunder cracked and boomed as the house shuddered. Then the torrential rain began as the electrical storm passed.
