Cheap Entertainment~Take Two

In light of Dana’s post, a makeshift education, I thought it would be appropriate to share how Levi entertained himself today. He made himself a bow and arrow ‘from sticks and supplies from the cupboard. It has two more uses: cutting grass and musical. The green band is low pitch. The yellow band is high pitch.’

A child-made toy is worth a hundred purchased toys in my book, and that can be said of an education as well. Dana writes:

I want my children’s education to be characterized by this sort of creativity and discovery as they take the tools we have at hand and make something new (at least to them). I want them to have ownership of their own learning.

Yep.
